About Sandeep Vhandari

Sandeep Vhandari was born on 19 September 1996 in Urlabari, a peaceful town in the eastern region of Nepal. From a young age, he was full of curiosity, always eager to explore new ideas and learn about the world around him. His early years were spent like many others in his community — going to school, playing with friends, and dreaming about his future.

However, at the age of 14, he began to notice small changes in his body. Walking started to feel more difficult, and his movements became less steady. He visited many doctors, searching for answers. Despite the uncertainty, he continued his studies and managed to complete up to Class 12.

When he was 22 years old, after years of tests and medical consultations, he was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia — a rare, progressive neurological condition that affects balance, coordination, and muscle control. The news was life-changing. His mobility gradually decreased, and he began using a wheelchair. It was not an easy journey — there were moments of doubt, fear, and frustration — but there was also resilience, acceptance, and hope.

After leaving formal academic studies, Sandeep did not let his learning stop. Instead, he transformed his home and the internet into his personal classroom. He immersed himself in self-education, studying IT technology, improving his English grammar and vocabulary, and exploring the art of poetry and storytelling. Through online research, reading, and consistent practice, he developed skills that would shape his identity as both a creative thinker and a writer.

Sandeep’s creative side grew stronger as he wrote poems, short stories, and eventually novels. Writing became more than just a hobby — it became a way of expressing emotions, sharing experiences, and connecting with people from different walks of life. His works often carry themes of hope, perseverance, and the beauty of life even in the face of challenges.

Through his personal blog, Vhandari.com, he shares his life experiences, poems, stories, and adventures. His words reflect not just his own journey, but also the universal struggles and triumphs that many people experience. He writes about Nepal, its culture, its people, and his own reflections on living with a rare condition.

Sandeep believes that while life may not always go as planned, every challenge holds a lesson and every struggle can be turned into strength. His story is one of resilience — of a young man who refused to let his diagnosis define his future. Instead, he chose to grow, learn, and inspire others through his words.

Today, Sandeep continues to write, learn, and dream. He hopes that his journey will encourage others to see beyond their limitations and find meaning, creativity, and hope in their own lives.
