Light and Darkness: A Metaphor for Life

This poem beautifully captures the essence of the human experience, weaving together themes of searching for meaning, confronting uncertainty, and recognizing the interplay of light and darkness in life. The imagery of light as a symbol of hope and understanding, contrasted with darkness representing doubt and fear, creates a vivid metaphor for our journey.

Light and Darkness: A Metaphor for Life

By Sandeep Vhandari

In silence deep, I searched for light,
With every breath, I faced the night.
A journey born from shadows cast,
Where seeds of doubt and hope held fast.

I stood between the dusk and dawn,
A fleeting ghost, in dreams withdrawn.
With questions draped like threads of fate,
I wove a future, yet to await.

What was a win if none could lose?
In that grand play, we danced our views.
Yet in the stillness, choices came,
To rise, to fall, to know my name.

I knew not where my path would lead,
Nor what the end might hold in seed.
But in that quest, my heart would plea,
For wisdom found in mystery.

And now I ponder time’s embrace,
In echoes of a world once faced.
For life, a dance of dreams and schemes,
Unraveled threads in cosmic beams.

A tapestry of fate entwined,
Revealed the truths that hearts had mined.
In shadows cast by the setting sun,
We sought the light, and thus, were one.

The progression from searching and questioning to finding wisdom and unity reflects the universal quest for purpose. The idea of weaving a future from the threads of fate illustrates how our choices shape our destinies. Ultimately, the poem encapsulates the notion that despite life’s challenges, we are all interconnected in our pursuit of truth and enlightenment.
